WEB WAYS
To get you started on your way to find out the information you need for your cards, I have researched some different sites on the world wide web that you will hopefully find useful for constructing your organism cards. A few words of wisdom before you launch yourself into cyberspace.
Getting Back
In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy finds her way home by clicking her heels together three times. If you want to find your way back to this page, just hit BACK on the top of whatever web site you are into. Keep doing this until you return to this page. Before Dorothy learned the trick with her ruby red slippers, she thought the Wizard was going to take her back home in his hot air balloon. If you wish to return to this page like you were in the Wizard's balloon, just hit the X in the top right hand corner of the website and you will be launched out of deep cyberspace to this page and the safety of your computer site.
Going Further Out
You may also decide (and I hope you do) to search out sites not listed in this program. There are a number of ways to do this but here are the two most common. I will be interested to hear all the ways you young hackers come up with to impress each other. It is easy to impress a technological dinosaur like me. The first way to surf further is to jump to new sites from sites you find through this program. These hyperlinks are underlined text within the web page you are reading. This may take you to many new and exciting places. The second way is to go to a search engine once you are on the web and as k it to find sites with the name of the organism you are looking for. Remember to limit this search as much as possible so you don't get 1,000,000 or more hits.
Final Farewell Tip
The world wide web is really fun and it is HUGE. So stay focused on what you are looking for and write down cool sites that are not part of this project so you can find them later.
