This web site is an educator's guide to instructional technology resources that
support California's curriculum frameworks and standards. A key portion of this site is
the Online Evaluations Database which is a continuously updated database of information on
all types of instructional technology resouces. Each of the listed programs has been rated
as Exemplary or Desirable by the California Instructional Technology
Clearinghouse and has been found to be effective, technically excellent, and appropriate
for use in a California classroom. The database has sophisticated, simple-to-use search
capabilities designed to help the educational user make informed instructional technology
resources choices. Every Clearinghouse evaluation is conducted by one of the
Clearinghouse's 19 Evaluation
Satellites, each specializing in a particular subject area. Each of these Satellites
is operated by a California county office of education and is supported by the California Technology Assistance Project. |

information and support. This site includes: G.R.A.D.E.S.--a

the ability to identify colleagues who are interested in the use of the Internet in the

districts in integrating technology into teaching and learning.

The International Schools CyberFair competition, now in
its fourth year, has been described as the largest event of its kind ever held on the
Internet. The program has brought together more than 500,000 students from 52 counties.
Acting as "student ambassadors," schoolchildren share their stories with other
students around the globe. School-generated web sites in eight different categories are
evaluated by the students themselves, using a unique web tool developed by Global
SchoolNet. |
